Mission Statement: Helping people to start a new life in recovery has been the mission of CRASH, Inc. (Community Resources And Self Help) since March 5, 1970, as a Not For Profit Corporation. CRASH fights alcohol and other drug abuse problems by assisting individuals to become responsible and productive members of society. The CRASH programs have facilitated alcohol and other drug abuse prevention and rehabilitation by providing short-term and long-term residential treatment, day treatment, outpatient recovery services and community education. In CRASH programs, individuals are introduced to a wide variety of recovery tools that help empower and enable them to deal with life without the use of alcohol and other drugs. CRASH programs help individuals to identify, access, and encourage participation in the array of available community resources and services. The importance of a strong support system, a clean and sober living environment and continued participation in a daily program of recovery are emphasized. Each CRASH program is committed to a philosophy of believing in the clients while teaching them to believe in themselves. The CRASH approach involves working together with various community groups, organizations, services and community leaders to bring the issues of alcohol and drug abuse to the forefront. Education, treatment, information, and community involvement are all integral components of CRASH's strategy for fighting alcohol and drug abuse.
